Preferred for use with GarageHawk. Repeats all INSTEON signals for enhanced network reliability.
This simple-to-use plug-in on/off switch has advanced features like local control, so you can still use the light's built-in switch to turn the device on and off. The ApplianceLinc is made to plug into a 3-pin outlet. This on/off module controls all standard appliances like fans, fluorescent lights and other non-dimmable devices up to 15 amps and incandescent lights up to 480 watts.
Link the ApplianceLinc to GarageHawk using the Plug & Tap programming method, and you'll be able to automatically turn the light or appliance on and off whenever the garage door is opened or from any linked INSTEON or X10-compatible controller. Comes with two year manufacturer's warranty.
X10 Appliance Module (3pin) - $18.99
Inexpensive alternative for GarageHawk off/on control of lighting and all standard appliances like fans, fluorescent lights and other non-dimmable devices up to 15 amps or incandescent lights up to 500 watts. Set to House Code G, Unit Code 16 when used with GarageHawk. Can also be controlled by most Insteon or X10 Controllers. Note: This device does not repeat INSTEON or X10 signals and may not be suitable for use in larger homes or noisy power line environments.
